Living in Ecuador is something most people don't plan on doing. However after spending a few weeks here it's hard not to fall in love with this place. The cultural mosiac, the diversity in it's environment and social fabric of the country appeals to all travellers from all walks of life. Making a move to a foreign country can be challenging at times. With the right team/person on your side the transition should be seamless. Having lived in Ecuador for almost 2 years, originally from Canada, I can appreciate the frustations that go with dealing with a culture that operates on the "mañana attitude".
